Rilos & MiMi was very excited to hosted a youth fishing clinic during the weigh in of the 39th annual Devils Lake Chamber Walleye Tournament at Graham’s Island State Park on June 27th, 2015.

The first 50 kids to the weigh in where given tickets while the fisherman weighed their fish in and member of the Rilos & MiMi family walked around and put tattoos donated by Bass Pro Shops to both kids and adults in the stands.  There were approximately 75 kids at the weigh-in wanting to participate in the youth fishing clinic; luckily there were extra prizes available.

After all the fish were weighed in for the tournament, the kids were called up to receive their prizes and come up on stage to hear local professional fisherman Johnnie Candle talk to them about taking the kids out fishing.  The clinic was in between the fish being weighed in and the office results and awards.

“It was such a great opportunity as a Devils Lake company to provide the kids in the community with this great fishing gear.  The Devils Lake community has be so supportive of Rilos & MiMi and is a big part of why we have been successful and we couldn’t be happier to have the chance to give back, especially to the kids and for something that is a big part of our family.  You can always find our entire family at these local fishing tournaments,”  comments Rilos & MiMi owner Christy Remmick.

I was great to see so many kids come out to watch the weigh in and participated in the youth fishing clinic and receive prizes.  Hunter, Riley, and Emersyn had so much fun putting tattoos on the kids and adults at the weigh in and handing out prizes to all the kids.  All the kids were very excited and very thankful about the prizes.

Thanks everyone who came out and thank to the Devils Lake Chamber for putting on such a great tournament and to Johnnie Candle for being the MC.
