Kids Crafts: Halloween Masks

Keeping in theme with Halloween crafts the kids and I made these Halloween foam masks yesterday.

The time from when Hunter gets off the bus and we eat supper is usually the most hectic in our house.  The kids are always a little worked up around this time and get on each other’s nerves so this is a perfect time for us to do some kind of craft activity.

The last time I was up visiting my family in Canada I picked up this cute little craft box from Wal-Mart for only $4.97.  This is the second time I have used one of these foam craft kits and the kids just love them, especially Hunter.  The kit comes with everything you need to make the masks except glue and can make 24 masks total.

Hunter passed out all the pieces for masks and the kids had fun just decorating them however they wanted.

Notice how Riley is concentrating and sticking out her tongue again?

Once the glue was dry I tied the stings on and the kids had fun playing with their masks on.

A good way to kill and hour while we waited for Daddy to come home!

Hunter of course had to make all three masks exactly like they were on the package:
